Descriptions

This substance blocks the transfer of electrons during photosynthesis at a specific site. Maize plants can tolerate this by quickly detoxifying it using glutathione transferases.

Technical Name: 

  • Atrazine 50% WP

Features and Benefits:

  • A selective systemic pre and post-emergence herbicide.

  • It is used to control annual grass as well as broad-leaved weeds.

Mode of Action:

A Selective Systemic Herbicide, Absorbed Principally Through the Roots but Also Through the Foliage, With Translocation Acropetally in The Xylem and Accumulation in The Apical Meristems And Leaves.

Dosage:

  • 400 - 1600 gm per acre.

Suitable Crops:

  • EBS ASAR Atrazine 50% WP herbicide is suitable for Maize and sugarcane.

Target Weeds:

Inhibition of photosynthesis in target weed. Trianthama monogyna, Digera arvensis, Echinochloa spp., Eleusine spp., Xantheium strumarium, Brachiara sp, Digitaria sp, Amaranthus Viridis, Cleome viscose, Polygonum spp.
